Custer and Custer State Park

On Monday, after we left Crazy Horse, we went to the little town of Custer, SD. We had come through Custer on the way to the campground and went back to eat lunch at the Purple Pie Place. The town had about 20 painted buffalos scattered around. They were sort of like the painted cows in Chicago and San Antonio years ago.

Custer State Park was full of amazing huge rocks, herds of buffalo, and very tiny mountain passageways for cars to pass through. We clearly could not have driven our RV through the mountain passes. Our scooter fit well, but they were a tight fit for typical cars and pick-up trucks.
