Actually having the diploma in hand is a powerful feeling. I now know that I will not encounter a technicality that will prevent me from graduating! Yea!!!
The ceremony was typical, but satisfying. Meeting my advisor in person was very pleasant. I've known for a long time that he is a good guy, but meeting him in person really emphasized how lucky I was to land both with the University of Nebraska and with him.
These pictures show me with my advisor, Dr. Allen Steckelberg, me coming in during the processional, and the stage.

Ellen,
I know you are so happy and proud to actually participate in the ceremony and get that diploma in hand. It represents so much hard work and frustration with the process.
Congratulations!!!
Thank you! The best thing is that now I know there can be no glitches......no chance of someone saying "Oh, wait.....you also need to jump through this hoop over here..."
