Ellen sets foot on the University of Nebraska Campus

Just in time to graduate, I have finally set foot on the University of Nebraska campus. And, what a lovely campus it is! It has a good supply of gorgeous big, old buildings and lots and lots of trees and flowers. Absolutely lovely!

The pictures, from top to bottom and left to right, show
1--Me standing outside my advisor's door. We stopped to see Dr. Steckelberg about six different times, but never caught up with him. So, I will meet him in person for the first time tomorrow at the ceremony.

2--Me, David Letterman, and Johnny Carson in the Johnny Carson Theater. Johnny Carson was from Nebraska and went to the University of Nebraska. Tomorrow, we graduates are gathering in the Johnny Carson Theater to line up and get our ceremony guidelines.

3--Me in front of the entrance to the Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film, for which Johnny Carson donated 5.3 million dollars to renovate. It turns out that he himself attended classes in this same building, and it was the performing arts building then as well. His donation allowed for a recent renovation to modernize the building.

4--Me in front of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln visitors' center landscaping and sign.

5--Me in the bookstore wearing a University of Nebraska Cornhuskers' cornhead.

Thank you! I didn't actually buy it, but someday when I return to Lincoln, NE, I might need to get my very own corn head!
