We saw two buffalo together, then one buffalo, and were going to turn around since we had seen some buffalo. Luckily, we stopped at a snack bar, and a woman told us that there were large herds of buffalo around the next corner. We rounded the corner, and sure enough, there were 50-100 buffalo grazing. The woman at the shop told us to be careful since buffalo do not like motorcycles much and especially do not like motorcycles to get between mother and baby buffalos. She also told us to be very careful to stay out of their way in general. She said that as she came out of her cabin this morning, a buffalo had charged her. She said it probably happened because it is during their breeding season, but said it was very frightening.
