After we left Cleveland and the wonderful Rock and Roll music, we headed toward Elkhart, IN. We intended to spend the night in a Wal-mart and then call the Newmar factory (makers of our RV) the next day. But, as we studied the Newmar Web site, we discovered that they had a tour scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning and that we could spend the night in their parking lot. So, we bypassed the Elkhart, IN, Wal-mart and headed to Nappanee, IN. The parking lots at the Newmar factory are a little different than a typical parking lot. Each slot is big enough for a 45-foot RV and each slot has water, electricity, and sewer hookups. Much more accommodating than Wal-mart parking lots!
The factory tour was fascinating. We saw RV building at every stage. The plant is huge and consists of many buildings. One of the buildings near where we were parked was labeled "Building 19," so we guessed there were at least 19 buildings. It's sort of like a little city. The workers drive RVs and golf carts around constantly. The big and little extremes!
While we were at the factory, we learned about the Newmar Kountry Klub from some of the other RVers there. It seems that each section of each state has Kountry Klub rallies, and they sound like a lot of fun. So, we decided to join and try it out. We are now Newmar Kountry Klub members. Even though we feel like we can't spell (Kountry Klub????), we are looking forward to meeting some San Antonio RVers.

You'll love the Kountry Klub. It's a great way to get to know other people who own Newmar Motor Homes. Plus, they want you to enjoy it so much you'll want your next motor hoome to be a Newmar too, so you can stay in the Klub.
We aren't snobbish about which type of motor home we have or that other people have. But, we do think it will be fun to meet other people who like to RV. Even though we aren't snobbish about motor home types, it will be OK with us if Newmar wants to pamper us a little!
