On our way from South Dakota to Illinois, we turned off of I-90 at Albert Lea, MN and went into Iowa. Since Iowa has free Internet at their rest stops, we stopped for the night a couple of miles from Albert Lea. Along with free Internet, our rest stop also had a casino--actually, the casino was across the parking lot in a separate parking lot. But, it was right there, so we checked it out.
We drove past a large windmill farm with hundreds of windmills.
We stopped in Dyersville, IA, at Field of Dreams, even though we have been there before. It was about 10 years ago when we last visited, and we wanted to see how things had changed. The biggest change was that last fall, one of the farmers bought out the other farmer, so there are no longer two owners nor competing gift shops. Even though it was raining when we stopped, we were not the only ones there. A father and son were playing ball when we arrived.
